I am a Contemporary Artist, residing in the Perth hills, who works in a range of media. From silver smithing to embroidery and weaving, I use each medium to tell my story in ways that invites the viewer, or wearer, in to my inner world.
My interests lie in creating a tangible connection to the inner thoughts and emotions that have no spoken language. In doing so I look to create an experiential way of articulating the experiences that cause these thoughts and emotions to arise.
The softening of the beeswax speaks of change and comfort. The revealing of silver beneath band aid or sheepskin speaks of hurts healing. Slow stitching tells of time invested. Quick sketches show pain that words can’t reach.
